Complete strip, evaluation and full restoration of the tub, bonnet, doors and boot lid.
Finally managed to get the car in the dry on Saturday 13th November 2004.
| At last we start stripping the car, the bonnet assembly comes off after a fight. More rust than metal on the front inner section and wheel arches. Hopefully this bonnet can be salvaged with new panels. If not I will be looking around for a good second-hand one. Latest: Scrapped and fitting a fibreglass one for now. |
| Removed seats, frames and carpet. The bodywork is slightly better than expected except for the rear passenger side that is a real mess underneath. Further inspection will have to wait until the tub is completely stripped and raised up. |
